30-Year-Old Man ID'd As Victim Of Fatal Springfield Shooting

Authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed last week in Springfield.

Nicorie Adams, 30, of Springfield, was shot around 4:20 p.m. Thursday,  Jan. 31, on Braddock Street, the Hampden County District Attorney said. 

Officers were called to a ShotSpotter alert on Rochelle Street when they received a second notification of a shooting on Braddock Street. They found evidence at both locations but no victims. 

Moments later, Adams and an unnamed woman drove to Baystate Medical Center. Adams was seriously wounded from a gunshot, and the woman was suffering non-life-threatening injuries. 

Adams later died of his injuries. 

Springfield police are investigating the shooting. Detectives ask anyone with information to contact them at 413-787-6355.
